Where I started
My first job in healthcare was cleaning floors. About 40 days later I was running my own building. Not because anyone handed it to me, but because I treated a mop closet like a business and someone noticed. That pattern, learn fast, take ownership before the title arrives, has repeated in every industry since. I eventually led operations with 200+ employees across convalescent hospitals and psychiatric wards, the kind of environment where a missed detail is a citation and a citation is a career. Regulated environments with people in them, not just policy on paper. I did that work as a third-party contractor, accountable for compliance inside buildings I did not own and under a license that was not mine. You do not get to advise from that seat. You hand back a finished result. Cal/OSHA 30 certified.
Regulatory policy formation
I shaped policy at the city, county, and state level during the early market formation of highly regulated industries. I sat across the table from regulators, planning departments, and enforcement agencies, and represented industry during ordinance drafting when nobody knew yet what the rules should be. You learn more about governance in those rooms than in any framework document.
Standards and governance
ASTM committee member (D37 and F45). Designated Technical Expert at CEN-CENELEC JTC 21, WG2 and WG3. Observer at ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42 via UNE. I contribute to the consensus standards regulators lean on during enforcement and rulemaking, and I bring the manufacturing floor into rooms that are usually all policy.
Regulated manufacturing and international compliance
Co-founder of Remediation Sciences & Technology, PLLC, a B2B ingredient and technology provider. I executed UK and EU market access under fragmented national frameworks: cross-border documentation, strict regulatory thresholds, lab variance risk. Compliance across borders is a systems problem, and I treated it like one.
Applied science and formulation
Water-soluble formulations for regulated consumer products, built for dose uniformity, onset predictability, and stability, in collaboration with former pharmaceutical scientists from GW Pharmaceuticals. My position then is my position now: formulation is the first layer of compliance, not an afterthought.
High-risk brand and market execution
Regulatory and compliance leadership for high-visibility product launches under heightened enforcement scrutiny. Packaging, labeling, distribution. The brands survived because the compliance did.
